Books require special care. The best way to store them is standing side by side (slanting them can warp them, while laying them flat can cause printing ink to stick to the pages). To keep termites and moths away, it's interesting to use cloves! As for dust, clean it with the help of a soft brush, going over the covers, spines and edges of the pages. Afterwards, a flannel with vinegar over the same places is a good option to remove the accumulation of dirt. Once this is done, polish the books with a dry cloth or let them dry naturally in the sun before returning them to the shelves, to avoid local humidity.
